Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a Facilities Project Manager to support Building Operations Technologies (BOT). You will oversee Building Automation Systems (BAS), energy initiatives, and project execution, collaborating with engineering teams, vendors, and end users to improve system performance and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have BAS interest, strong communication, and a readiness to learn in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Three years project management/construction management experience.
• May substitute Bachelor's degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
• Preferred: Five years project management/construction management experience.
• Preferred experience with Siemens APOGEE, Insight Building Automation System, Desigo CC, Niagara, Phoenix Controls, system integration, SOAP, BACnet, OPC, Modbus and related protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Daily Support and Maintenance of all Building Automation Systems.
• Overall responsible for BAS performance and issue resolution for end users.
• Administrate critical alarm database application and reporting.
• Review design documents and provide BAS submittal approvals for projects.
• Support project management during new and retrofit construction projects.
• Oversee commissioning process and coordinate BOT personnel.
• Configure BAS hardware for expansion and upgrades.
• Coordinate BAS hardware/software integration and vendor liaison.
• Improve database performance and data integrity.
• Assist in programming complex sequences and mentor junior programmers.
