Job summary

HTS Engineering Ltd. seeks a Controls Specialist to start up, commission, configure, and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems on commercial HVAC projects. The role requires independent work on standard systems and emphasizes calibration, documentation, and ongoing technical growth.

You will program DDC controllers, configure BAS interfaces, and support GUI development while ensuring system performance and customer satisfaction through careful testing and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of DDC controls and BAS platforms.
Basic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read engineered documents including wiring diagrams and sequences.
Understanding of HVAC systems and control applications.
Knowledge of IP networking and communication protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

Startup and commissioning of BAS for commercial HVAC projects, ensuring design intent and performance.
Configure and program BAS interfaces and DDC controllers.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, including IP/RS-485 networks.
Maintain accurate job documentation and redlines, updates as-built docs.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers to support execution and quality.
