Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a technically strong BAS Controls Technician to support Schneider Electric controllers and Niagara N4 systems in mission-critical facilities.

You will manage complex mechanical and controls infrastructure, troubleshoot advanced issues, and help maintain reliability and efficiency in central utility or chiller plant environments. The role requires hands-on experience with chiller plants, HVAC systems, and building management software, along with the ability to mentor junior

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 7+ years of BAS/Controls experience in commercial/industrial facilities.
• 5+ years experience in controls programming, sequence development, and system integration.
• Niagara N4 certification (Technical Certification or higher).
• Schneider Electric training or OEM certifications.
• Experience with Schneider Electric BAS platforms (EcoStruxure/SmartStruxure).
• Experience with Niagara N4 including station navigation, alarms, and trending.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot BAS infrastructure (Schneider Electric controllers).
• Support Niagara N4 front-end systems used as supervisory overlay.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across controls, devices, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and optimize chiller plants, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, VAVs, and VFDs.
• Review alarms and trends to identify and prevent failures.
• Validate control sequences and graphics; propose improvements.
