ControlsJobs is seeking a BAS Controls Technician in Wichita, KS to support commercial, educational, and healthcare facilities. You will install, commission, troubleshoot, and optimize BAS/DDC systems across Kansas, including schools, hospitals, and manufacturing plants.

Expect on-site responsibilities with a company vehicle and scheduled travel within the Wichita region. The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of BAS/DDC experience, hands-on platform knowledge (Tridium, Honeywell, Distech, KMC),

Qualifications

• 2+ years BAS/DDC controls experience.
• Hands-on with Tridium, Honeywell, Distech, KMC or similar platforms.
• Strong HVAC knowledge and control logic.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple field tasks.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate BAS wiring, controllers, sensors, and network devices.
• Perform point-to-point checkout, equipment testing, and full system commissioning.
• Troubleshoot control programming, communication issues, and HVAC system performance.
• Load, tune, and modify BAS/DDC programs using manufacturer software.
• Configure graphics, alarms, trends, and system dashboards.
• Diagnose issues with VAVs, AHUs, RTUs, boilers, and chiller interfaces.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
• Provide technical support to building operators and facility teams.

BAS Controls Technician – Wichita, KS – Commercial & Industrial HVAC Controls – $38–$52/hr + OT + Vehicle

A well-established Building Automation and HVAC Controls contractor is seeking an experiencedBAS Controls Technician to support commercial, manufacturing, education, and healthcare facilitiesthroughout the greater Wichita region. This role focuses on installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, andoptimization of modern DDC building automation systems.

Position:

• Location: Wichita, KS (local travel)
• Pay Range: $38.00 – $52.00/hr (Depending on Experience)

About the Role:

This position supports the full lifecycle of BAS/DDC systems including installation, start-up, network configuration,and ongoing service. Projects include K-12 schools, hospitals, manufacturing plants, office buildings, andenergy-efficiency retrofits across Kansas.
