ControlsJobs is seeking a skilled BAS Controls Technician to support commercial, industrial, and institutional projects in the Wenatchee region. You will install, start up, and optimize DDC/BAS systems for HVAC equipment including RTUs, AHUs, boilers, chillers, VAVs, and heat pumps.

The role emphasizes fieldwork, problem solving, and improving building performance. Local travel and a company vehicle or allowance are provided; comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Hands-on installation, startup, and optimization of BAS/DDC systems.
• Experience with RTUs, AHUs, boilers, chillers, VAVs, and heat pumps.
• Ability to read control drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Strong trouble-shooting and communication skills.
• Willing to travel to Wenatchee region.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission BAS/DDC systems for commercial HVAC applications
• Perform point-to-point checkout, functional testing, and verification of control sequences
• Troubleshoot system issues including controllers, networks, sensors, actuators, and field devices
• Install low-voltage wiring, conduit, terminations, and control panels
• Assist with programming adjustments under direction of senior technicians or engineers
• Support equipment startup with mechanical contractors and facility teams
• Document work performed, redline drawings, and maintain accurate service reports
• Coordinate daily tasks with project managers and job site personnel
• Provide customer support and represent the company professionally on job sites

About the Opportunity

A growing Building Automation and HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a skilledBAS Controls Technician to support commercial, industrial, and institutional projects throughout the Wenatchee region.This role involves hands-on BAS/DDC installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service work across a variety of facility types.

• Location: Wenatchee, WA (local travel required)
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Hourly Rate: $42.00 - $58.00/hr (Based on Experience)

About the Role

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or Controls Installer
• Strong understanding of HVAC fundamentals and sequences of operation
• Ability to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans
• Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Delta is a plus
• Comfortable working in commercial, healthcare, K-12, and industrial environments
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or within a field team
