Job summary

AJ Group is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to service, commission, and optimize Building Automation Systems and commercial HVAC controls across customer sites in the Bay Area. The role demands independent field work, diagnosing complex system faults, and delivering energy-efficient building control solutions.

You will troubleshoot, commission systems, and support installations while improving reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building automation.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, DDC controls, and building management technologies.
• Practical experience with controls programming, sequence development, and system integration.
• Ability to diagnose technical faults and implement effective solutions independently.
• Familiarity with BAS platforms and industry-standard communication protocols.
• Experience with Tridium Niagara and/or Distech Controls is preferred; training may be available for suitable candidates.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the Bay Area.

You will be responsible for servicing, commissioning, and optimizing Building Automation Systems and commercial HVAC controls across a range of customer sites.

This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional who can work independently in the field, resolve complex system issues, and deliver reliable, energy-efficient building control solutions.
