Job summary

ControlsJobs is seeking a skilled BAS Controls Technician to support commercial facilities in the Dover region. You will perform field installation, startup, and service of DDC/BAS control systems for HVAC equipment and energy management.

Responsibilities include wiring, testing, commissioning, and diagnostics, collaborating with contractors and project teams to ensure systems meet design requirements. Overtime and a company vehicle are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or HVAC Controls Specialist.
• Strong troubleshooting ability with BAS/DDC systems and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings.
• Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Tridium, Distech, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and configure BAS/DDC hardware and wiring.
• Perform functional testing, commissioning, and point-to-point checkout.
• Troubleshoot sensors, controllers, actuators, and field panels.
• Assist with programming edits, logic adjustments, and graphics updates.
• Install and verify field devices, including temperature, humidity, pressure, and flow sensors.
• Document wiring changes, redlines, service logs, and commissioning reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers, general contractors, and internal project staff.

About the Opportunity

A growing Building Automation & HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a skilledBAS Controls Technician to support commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities throughout the Dover region.This role involves hands-on installation, programming assistance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of modern DDC/BAS systemsused for energy management and HVAC optimization.

• Location: Dover, DE (local travel required)
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Hourly Rate: $38.00 – $54.00/hr (Based on Experience)

About the Role

This position focuses on field installation, startup, and service of DDC/BAS control systems for HVAC equipment,energy management, and building performance applications.You’ll work closely with mechanical contractors, facility engineers, and project teams to ensure systems operate efficiently and meet design requirements.
