Job summary

McKenney's Inc. is seeking an Automation and Controls Specialist to build, test, and commission building control systems such as HVAC, lighting, power, and monitoring.

You will develop, program equipment, and refine the graphical interface, delivering reliable solutions for customers. You will apply Niagara tools, participate in design reviews, perform hardware troubleshooting, respond to BAS emergencies after hours, and document work status.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with 2+ BAS platforms.
• 1 year developing, building, testing, and commissioning complete building controls systems including the graphical interface.
• Knowledge of installation, operation, and repair of commercial HVAC and control equipment.
• Reading mechanical, electrical, network, and wiring schematics.
• High school diploma or GED; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, test, and commission building controls systems.
• Program equipment and modify graphical interfaces.
• Use Niagara tools to optimize productivity.
• Troubleshoot hardware and perform BAS service and maintenance.
• Respond to BAS emergencies after hours.
• Prepare documentation and status reports.
• Progress from Pathway to Automation Specialist 3 after 12 months.
