EMCOR Services Automated Controls is looking for a Building Automation System (BAS) Hardware Engineer to join our design team in Indianapolis. The role involves designing building automation systems, supporting project documentation, and providing technical support for HVAC systems.

We are a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), building automation, and industrial piping contractor. Our team offers a variety of MEP and process piping services, including design‑build engineering for new construction and renovation, installation and specialty construction, maintenance, and air balancing, start‑up, and energy efficiency services.
EMCOR Services Automated Controls is seeking a Building Automation System (BAS) Hardware Engineer with control experience and an HVAC background. The successful candidate will join our growing automation design team, supporting projects in the commercial and industrial markets.
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English and cooperate and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty‑five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also be able to commute to field locations.
The work environment includes sitting for long periods in front of a computer and traveling to field locations as needed. While visiting field locations, the employee may work outdoors, be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
