Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is hiring a seasonal bartender at Snowshoe Mountain, Snowshoe, WV. Prepare and serve drinks, handle payments, and keep the bar stocked. Start date is end of November to early December, with shifts that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Housing is available for on-mountain staff. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of experience at a full-service bar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of experience at a full-service bar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and garnish drinks according to recipes and portion control standards.
• Serve beverages to guests and check IDs to comply with laws and regulations.
• Process payments using the POS system, handle cash, credit/debit cards, and vouchers.
• Stock and maintain the bar with necessary supplies, including beverages, paper products, and glassware.
• Manage and store perishable items to ensure product quality.
• Respond professionally to inebriated guests.
• Perform mental math for accurate billing.
