Method Co. is seeking a hospitality-driven Bartender/Server in Philadelphia to thrive in a fast-paced, design-forward environment. You will cross-train between bartending and serving roles, delivering warm, attentive service and guiding guests through the menu.

The ideal candidate has experience in high-volume settings, strong cocktail knowledge, and excellent guest engagement skills, with weekend availability and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience bartending or serving in a high-volume or elevated dining setting.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine and spirits; willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and guest-engagement skills.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and upbeat during peak service periods.
• Collaborative mindset and passion for hospitality.
• Must have weekend availability.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm and attentive service reflecting the Mulherin’s guest experience.
• Cross-train and work as bartender and server as needed.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and service station.
• Guide guests through menu offerings including wood-fired pizzas and handmade pastas.
• Collaborate with FOH and BOH for smooth service flow.
• Uphold safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Support opening, closing and shift-change procedures.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, inclusive team culture.

We’re looking for a hospitality ‑ driven Bartender/Server who thrives in a fast ‑ paced, design ‑ forward environment and enjoys cross ‑ training across both front ‑ of ‑ house roles. This position is ideal for someone who values teamwork, consistency, and creating memorable guest experiences — whether behind the bar or on the floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, and intuitive service that reflects the Mulherin’s guest experience


• Cross ‑ train and work seamlessly as both a bartender and server depending on business needs


• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non ‑ alcoholic beverages with accuracy and efficiency
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well ‑ stocked bar and service station


• Guide guests through menu offerings, including wood ‑ fired pizzas, handmade pastas, and seasonal dishes


• Collaborate with the FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth service flow


• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards


• Support opening, closing, and shift ‑ change procedures


• Contribute to a positive, professional, and inclusive team culture

Qualifications

• Previous bartending and/or serving experience in a high ‑ volume or elevated dining environment


• Strong cocktail, wine, and spirits knowledge (or willingness to learn)


• Excellent communication, multitasking, and guest ‑ engagement skills


• Ability to stay calm, organized, and upbeat during busy service


• A collaborative mindset and genuine passion for hospitality


• Must have weekend availability


• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Working Conditions/Environment:

• The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.


• Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
