Overview

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers. They will deliver excellent beverage service to guests of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain and cocktail servers, ensuring exceptional guest relations.

Responsibilities

1. Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain for gaming entertainment. Build and retain guest relations and mentor team members to provide superior service.
2. Provide outstanding customer service, positively interact with guests and team members, and handle difficult situations with resiliency.
3. Maintain company funds and equipment properly.
4. Pour drinks according to established recipes; keep the work environment clean and safe.
5. Ensure compliance with underage drinking policies.
6. Demonstrate product offerings and proper ordering procedures.
7. Monitor supply levels at assigned bars and communicate issues to supervisors.
8. Manage the security and accuracy of assigned bank, being responsible for any overages or shortages.
9. Open and close the bar following established procedures.
10. Provide work direction to assigned bar attendants.
11. Attend meetings and complete follow-up tasks as assigned.
12. Perform duties consistently and reliably.
13. Assist with special events, including setup, teardown, and other duties as needed.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Completion of an accredited bartending course or two years of high-volume cocktail service experience, preferably in a hotel/casino environment.

Additional Requirements: Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/certifications per federal, state, and gaming regulations; pass background checks and drug screening; be at least 21 years old.

Knowledge of: Drink mixing, customer service, operation of bar equipment, and relevant laws and regulations.

Abilities: Effective communication, supervision, currency recognition, understanding drink recipes, operating bar equipment, maintaining cleanliness, flexible work hours, and working in noisy/crowded environments. Ability to direct cocktail servers and maintain necessary licenses/certifications.
