Job Description

The Bartender is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers. The role includes serving beverages to guests at Belterra Casino Resort and supporting cocktail servers while ensuring excellent customer relations.

• Provides exceptional customer service, positively engaging with guests and colleagues, and handling difficult interactions professionally.
• Maintains company funds and equipment in an organized manner.
• Pours drinks according to recipes and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Demonstrates product offerings and ordering procedures.
• Monitors supply levels at the bar.
• Reports any issues detrimental to the casino to the supervisor.
• Ensures the security and accuracy of the assigned bank, accountable for overages and shortages.
• Opens and closes the bar following established procedures.
• Provides direction to bar attendants as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of bar equipment operation.
• Ability to supervise cocktail servers.
• Must obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications per regulations.
• Indiana ABC Liquor License required.
• Previous bartending experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Skills are typically acquired through completing an accredited bartending course or two years of high-volume cocktail service experience, preferably in a hotel or casino setting.
