Job summary

FirstService Residential in Bradenton, FL seeks a bartender to support the F&B Supervisor in delivering the community dining program, bar operations, and special events. This role includes training staff, assisting with cocktail menus, and serving guests during the shift.

You’ll help ensure quality service and guest satisfaction in a community setting. The position is part-time, requires evening hours (Thursday–Sunday shifts listed in some postings), and offers benefits like dental and vision

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required.
• At least 1 year kitchen experience.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of house cocktails, specialty drinks, and bar operations.
• Assist servers with alcohol-related menu questions.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Assist guests with food and beverage selections by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining chef's specialties; identifying wines.
• Record patrons' orders and notes dietary needs and special requests.
• Deliver orders from bar and kitchen and provide accompaniments.
• Maintain table settings and replenish utensils; refill water; note spills or special needs.
• Open and pour wine at tableside.
• Process charges, issue bills, and handle payments.

Job Overview:

As a Bartender, you’ll be responsible for assisting the F&B Supervisor with the overall dining program and execution of all aspects of the culinary experience for the community. This includes daily operation of the restaurant and bar, training new employees, to catering and special events.

Your Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of house cocktails, specialty drinks, and bar operations
• Help servers with alcohol related menu questions.
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering foodpreparation questions.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to patrons.

Skills & Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
• Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.

Schedule

Thursday - Sunday, 4:00PM - 9:00PM

Compensation

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour plus tips
