Job summary

Westminster Retirement Community in Austin seeks a Bartender/Server to provide courteous bar and dining service for residents. The role includes standard shifts ending by 9:00pm, with no late nights.

Open positions include Full-time and Part-time; compensation includes an hourly wage plus an incentive plan. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision and more for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with bartending and/or serving in a hotel, restaurant, club, or fine dining establishment preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (TABC certified) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders, provides service and requested items courteously.
• Clears all tableware from tables and bar after service.
• Stocks, restocks and rotates supplies.
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails.
• Enforces company policies regarding alcohol consumption (3 drinks limit per resident).
• Maintains inventory and physical bar area.
• Polishes glassware and cleans bar area nightly.
• Batching juices, mixers and syrups; restocks as needed.

This position includes an hourly wage, plus an incentive program, for additional compensation of up to $200 per week for Full-time, and up to $100 per week for Part-time.

Enjoy a steady schedule, steady hours, and a steady paycheck! And, no late nights - our latest shift ends at 9:00pm.

Who You Are

We are seeking candidates who are hospitality oriented and take great pride in serving others in a caring and professional manner.

Bartender/Server

• Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answers pertinent questions about drink items.
• Clears all tableware from tables and bar after service.
• Stocks, restocks and rotates supplies.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (TABC certified)
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
• Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
• Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol (3 drinks limit per resident)
• Accountability in maintaining inventory
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Wiping down the bar and bottles each night
• Batching juices, mixers and simple syrups
• Polishing glassware and storing properly

Qualifications

Previous Experience with bartending and/or serving in a hotel, restaurant, club, or fine dining establishment preferred.
