Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation is hiring a Bartender/Server to provide guests with exceptional food and beverage service. You will guide guests through menus, suggest upgrades, and ensure a welcoming, efficient experience.

No experience is required, but hospitality background is preferred. Must be punctual, able to stand for long periods, and comfortable handling money and POS transactions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Team player with a can-do attitude to deliver guest satisfaction.
• Previous customer service experience preferred; not required.
• Bartending and/or server experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes.

Job description

This is an ongoing recruitment process, with no specific closingdate. We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis.

$12.14 per hour + tips

As a Bartender/Server you will be responsible for providing ourguests with the finest food and beverages, accompanied by attentive,gracious and friendly service. Guide our guests through our food andbeverage menus and recommend upgrades. You must be able to arrive towork on time, stand for an extended period of time and take direction.No experience is required, but we do prefer those that have some food& beverage or hospitality experience.

• Preferably has previous customer service experience.
• Previous bartending and/or server experience strongly preferred.

• Possess basic math skills, have the ability to handle money, andoperate a point-of-sale system.
• Understanding of beverage and Food Handling policies and procedures.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be sixteen (16) years of age to serve food, must be eighteen(18) to serve alcoholic beverages, and must be twenty-one (21+) tosell alcoholic beverages.
