Job summary

Mark Twain Casino in LaGrange, Missouri, is seeking a Bartender/Server for Fireside Bar and Grill to greet guests, mix drinks, and deliver excellent service. You will process transactions via the POS system, monitor cash drawers, stock the bar, and maintain a clean work station in compliance with company standards.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and basic Excel skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior bar tending experience preferred.
• Missouri Gaming Level II Gaming License may be required.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

Open Now! All Ages Dining at Fireside Bar and Grill located inside Mark Twain Casino in LaGrange, MO.

The Bartender/Server prepares and serves drinks to guests and beverage servers in compliance with all Company and Health Department standards and policies. The Bartender is responsible for processing transactions using the company’s P.O.S. system and is responsible for any cash variances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain balanced cash drawer
• Complete daily bar tending duties including cleaning and stocking the bar
• Provide a high level of customer service
• Maintain work station standards at all times
• Perform all job functions in a safe and responsible manner
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

QUALIFICATIONS

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work demands
• Effectively operate and work with latest standard office technology
• Must be detail oriented

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior bar tending experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Missouri Gaming Level II Gaming License required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbal and written.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have high level computer skills with experience in excel.
