Job summary

ilani is seeking a bartender to deliver world class guest service, take drink orders, and serve beverages in a high-volume environment.

You will use a POS terminal to process payments, ensure compliance with liquor laws, maintain bar setup, and interact with guests to ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or recognized equivalent (RED) or foreign diploma (FHD).
• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to foster a supportive team environment.
• Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours.
• Willingness to work in a smoking environment and adhere to safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Provides world class guest service by taking drink orders, serving beverages, and handling payments.
• Interacts with guests to ensure a positive experience and maintains bar setup.
• Sets up and breaks down the assigned bar per department policies.
• Performs cashiering using the POS terminal and handles all payment methods.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards and complies with state liquor laws including ID checks and intervention when needed.

Position Summary:

Provides world class guest service in our restaurants, taking drink orders, serving alcohol and nonalcoholic beverages to guests, and taking payment for purchases.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes superior guest service.
• Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
• Interacting with our guests to ensure they have a positive experience.
• Fills drink order per the restaurant recipes and standards.
• Uses point of sale terminal and completes other cashiering functions.
• Consistently applies knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service, and shutoff procedures.
• Sets up and breaks down assigned bar in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the handling all payment methods.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in assigned work area.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
