Job summary

The Barnett in New Orleans is seeking an energetic bartender to join our hotel dining/bar team. You will craft cocktails, wine, and beer selections for bar guests and restaurant patrons, while delivering genuine hospitality in a fast-paced setting.

We value 1+ year of bartending experience, solid knowledge of beverages, and the ability to multitask during peak hours. High school diploma and bartender certification are preferred, with physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with servers and supporting table service preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages for bar guests and restaurant server drink orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Greet guests, take drink orders, make recommendations, and provide welcoming service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the shift.
• Support servers by preparing beverages and coordinating drink delivery during meal service.
• Process guest payments, manage tabs, and handle cash accurately.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
• Clean and sanitize bar areas, glassware, equipment, and tools.
• Assist with bar opening and closing procedures.
• Address guest concerns professionally and alert management when needed.
