Job summary

The Barnett Hotel in New Orleans seeks a part-time bartender to prepare and serve beverages for guests seated at the bar and in the restaurant. You will support both bar and table service, ensuring accurate drink preparation in a fast-paced dining environment.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of bartending experience, strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, and excellent customer service skills. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a restaurant or high-volume bar.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages for bar guests and restaurant server drink orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Greet guests, take drink orders, make recommendations, and provide welcoming service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the shift.
• Support servers by preparing beverages and coordinating drink delivery during meal service.
• Process guest payments, manage tabs, and handle cash accurately.
• Verify guest ID and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
• Clean and sanitize bar areas, glassware, equipment, and tools.
• Assist with bar opening and closing procedures.
• Address guest concerns professionally and alert management when needed.
