Job summary

The Barnett, All Good Cafe New Orleans, seeks a Barista with open availability to join our team. You will prepare coffee, beverages, and light food items while delivering warm, efficient service in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Daily duties include taking orders, processing payments, maintaining cleanliness, restocking, and engaging guests with recommendations. This role requires up to 30 lbs lifting and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Prior barista, café, or food service experience preferred.
  • Hospitality or customer service experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages.
  • Take guest orders, process payments, and handle cash/point-of-sale transactions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, barista station, and equipment.
  • Restock ingredients, cups, utensils, pastries, and merchandise.
  • Follow standard recipes and portion controls to ensure product consistency.
  • Engage warmly with guests, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of supply needs.
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
