Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking a Bartender for our Food & Beverage team. You will provide quick, friendly service at the bar with knowledge of beverages, wines and cocktails.

Responsibilities include taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining guest satisfaction in a fast-paced luxury environment. A valid permit and prior hotel bar experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Responsible Vendor Permit to serve alcohol is required.
• 2 years of experience in bars, preferably hotel bars.
• Ability to pour, mix and blend a wide variety of drinks.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits and mixed drinks per menu and Four Seasons standards.
• Confirm guest orders with the lounge server using the POS system and verify accuracy.
• Take bar orders and describe items with origin, taste and preparation details.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to concerns and requests.
• Close guest checks accurately and process payments.

About The Role:

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking candidates to join our Food and Beverage team as a Bartender. This role provides hotel guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service with a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
• Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel's point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest's original order.
• Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beets, ports, Armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.

What You Bring:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have an active Responsible Vendor Permit to serve alcohol
• Must have 2 years of experience in bars, preferably hotel bars
• Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety, of wines, spirits, and missed drinks.
• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
• Valid U.S. Work Authorization

Work a 40-hour per week, 3 p.m.- close flexible schedule that includes weekends, and holidays.

Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will remain active throughout your shift, seamlessly transitioning between tasks to create an exceptional guest experience.

Use hotel operating systems and point-of-sale (POS) platforms to efficiently and accurately process guest check-ins, check-outs, and transactions.
