Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The role requires a personable, professional individual able to work in an ever-changing fast‑paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

Compensation: $17.00 hourly rate. Tip eligible.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, coworker interaction, and uniform standards.
• Follow the bar pre-shift notes and menus and provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures, including state/federal regulations.
• Know various beer, wine, and spirit varieties and upsell products to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company serving size standards.
• Check guests’ ID to verify minimum age requirements for alcoholic beverage purchase.
• Communicate a cut‑off to a guest as required.
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• De‑escalate intoxicated guest situations; contact management or security if necessary.
• Contact management if unable to resolve issues beyond standard decision making.
• Request additional products or restock as needed.
• Manage cash at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and keep bar equipment in good condition.
• Other duties as assigned, including setting up and breaking down bar equipment and assisting with cooler organization.

Qualifications

• Six months or more bartending experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Bartending school preferred.
• Accurate cash handling skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑directed while working in a team‑oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
