Job summary

The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection on Alabama’s Gulf Coast is seeking a Bartender to join our lively bar team across Bar, Pool, and Restaurant outlets.

You’ll craft cocktails, serve wines and beers, engage guests by name, maintain a stocked bar, and uphold ABC compliance, health and safety standards. Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–3 months related experience preferred.
• Ability to mix beverages per recipes and standards.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of beverage offerings and upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Beverage preparation: mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per recipes and presentation standards.
• Customer engagement: warmly welcome guests, take orders, and personalize service.
• Inventory & supply management: maintain organized bar area and restock as needed.
• Menu knowledge & specials: stay informed about daily specials and suggest offerings.
• Cleanliness & safety: follow health regulations and maintain a clean workspace.
• ABC compliance: observe ABC board regulations and ensure responsible service.

As a Bartender, your role will be essential to creating an enjoyable and personalized bar experience for each guest. You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, from signature cocktails to classic wines and beers, all while maintaining a well-organized and fully stocked bar. Your expertise and warm demeanor will help to create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and delighted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Beverage Preparation: Skillfully mix a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring each is served according to recipe and presentation standards.
• Customer Engagement: Welcome guests warmly, take orders, and make recommendations based on guests' preferences, using their names whenever possible to personalize their experience.
• Inventory & Supply Management: Maintain an organized bar area, restocking supplies and keeping track of inventory for efficient operations.
• Menu Knowledge & Specials: Stay informed about daily specials, highlight unique offerings, and engage guests with suggestions to enhance their experience.
• Cleanliness & Safety: Adhere to food and beverage regulations, responsible alcohol service standards, and maintain a clean and inviting workspace.
• ABC Compliance: Observe all Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) board regulations, ensuring responsible and compliant alcohol service at all times.

Education & Experience:
