Job summary

Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection on Alabama’s Gulf Coast is seeking a Banquet Server who brings warmth and hospitality to every event. You’ll deliver dishes, keep guests refreshed, and ensure smooth service while upholding our standards of guest care.

You’ll read BEOs, set tables with linens and silverware, share menu details with guests, and work with the Banquet Captain and Manager to run exceptional events.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet or food service experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to read BEOs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read BEOs to arrange tables with linens, silverware, china, and glassware.
• Deliver dishes and refill drinks while keeping station organized.
• Know menu to answer questions and suggest items to guests.
• Maintain tidy environment and stock condiments throughout the event.
• Assist in breaking down service stations after events and ensuring everything is left in top shape.
• Collaborate with the Banquet Captain and Manager to ensure smooth operations.
• Promote beverages and menu highlights to guests to enhance their experience.
• Complete assigned side work and assist with setup/cleaning as needed.

As a Banquet Server, you’re at the heart of our event experience, bringing warmth and hospitality to every gathering! Your mission is to provide exceptional service by delivering delicious dishes, keeping guests refreshed, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities:

• Setup with Style: Expertly read Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to arrange tables with clean linens, shiny silverware, elegant china, and pristine glassware, setting the stage for a spectacular event.
• Service with a Smile: Promptly deliver dishes, refill drinks, and keep your station organized, all while making guests feel welcome and valued.
• Menu Master: Get to know our menu inside and out so you can confidently share details and suggestions with guests, enhancing their dining experience.
• Atmosphere Enhancer: Maintain a tidy and inviting environment by keeping table condiments stocked and ensuring cleanliness throughout the event.
• Efficient Clearing: Follow clearing procedures with ease and assist in breaking down service stations after events, ensuring everything is left in top shape.
• Team Player: Collaborate with the Banquet Captain and Manager to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service from start to finish.
• Hospitality Superstar: Embrace an "Aggressive Hospitality" approach, warmly welcoming guests and following food and beverage service policies to ensure a fantastic experience.
• Sales Savvy: Use your charm to promote beverages and menu highlights, adding value to guests' experiences.
