Job summary

Northfield Park Associates LLC is seeking a skilled Bartender in Kentucky to craft cocktails and serve guests with a focus on accuracy and presentation. You will manage drink orders, maintain a clean bar, and ensure a welcoming guest experience.

The role requires knowledge of menu items and beverage recipes, strong cash handling, and reliability in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a bar or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and provide food service as needed.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Know menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available.
• Handle cash, provide receipts, and submit daily reports with proper documentation.
• Train Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter on bar function and guest service.
• Maintain bar inventory and order stock as needed.
• Resolve guest complaints within authority or escalate to management as required.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Description

As aBartender, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections as well as maintaining the appearance of the bar.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar
• Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
• Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
• Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending
• Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

• Knowledgeable of menu items, including mixture and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
• Knowledgeable of wine and champagne characteristics by the glass, major wines, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
