Job summary

FirstService Residential in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Bartender to support the F&B Supervisor in delivering the culinary experience for our community. The role covers daily restaurant and bar operations, staff training, and event catering.

Part-time, non-exempt position offering $15.00–$16.00 per hour plus tips, with schedule Thursday through Sunday evenings; benefits include dental, vision, and a 401k with company match. AEDT information and training may apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of house cocktails and bar operations.
• Assist servers with alcohol-related menu questions.

• Deliver orders from bar and kitchen to tables.

As a Bartender, you’ll be responsible for assisting the F&B Supervisor with the overall dining program and execution of all aspects of the culinary experience for the community. This includes daily operation of the restaurant and bar, training new employees, to catering and special events.

Your Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of house cocktails, specialty drinks, and bar operations
• Help servers with alcohol related menu questions.
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies .
• Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions .
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests .
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars .
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs .
• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside .
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to patrons .

Skills & Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
• Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.

Schedule:

Thursday - Sunday, 4:00PM - 9:00PM

What We Offer

As a non-exempt part-time associate, you will be eligible for supplemental benefits to include dental, and Vision. In addition, you will be eligible a 401k with company match. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.

Compensation:

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour plus tips
