Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Bartender Non-Tipped for Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. This part-time position involves fast and efficient drink service directly to patrons or through servers, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction while coordinating with other staff.

Expected duties include preparing a variety of drinks, maintaining a well-stocked bar, and upholding standards of courtesy and professionalism. Flexible shifts and interview details are provided during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Must be of legal drinking age per local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive guests, mix and serve cocktails (with and without alcohol) and create drinks with appropriate garnishes.
• Ensure the bar area is stocked with the necessary tools and products to mix drinks and serve guests.
• Prepare accurate opening counts and place inventory or purchasing orders as needed to replenish supplies.
• Bartenders should be cordial, diplomatic and attentive with guests.
• Ability to stand or move around for long periods during a shift, often exceeding 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and pull, and frequently lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Assist in on-time attendance and be present for scheduled shifts; other duties may be assigned.
