Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Part-time Bartender Non-Tipped at University of Texas at El Paso. You will mix and serve drinks, provide exceptional guest service, and work with servers to deliver fast, accurate service in a dynamic environment.

This role requires flexible shifts, weekend/holiday availability, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Training and benefits are offered; adherence to local alcohol service laws is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of relevant bartending experience.
• Ability to mix a wide range of drinks and mix drinks correctly.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive guests, mix and serve drinks with and without alcohol and create drink recipes with appropriate garnishes.
• Ensure the bar area is fully stocked with tools and products to mix drinks and serve guests.
• Prepare accurate opening counts and place inventory or purchasing orders as needed to replenish supplies.
• Bartenders must be cordial, diplomatic and attentive when dealing with customers.
• A significant amount of walking or moving about the bar area.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods, across an entire shift that may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
• Must be able to perform repetitive motions.
• Attends work and comes to the scheduled shift on time with sufficient regularity.
• Other tasks may be assigned and may vary across accounts depending on business needs and client requirements.

Employment Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $8.75 per hour - $15 per hour
