Job summary

Lone Star Court is seeking a Bartender to prepare and serve beverages with precision and hospitality. You will manage bar inventory, operate a POS system, and ensure a clean, welcoming bar area that supports an outstanding guest experience.

Requirements include at least 1 year of bartending experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and current TABC and Food Handler’s certifications. Must meet age requirements and work a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or bar setting preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older (21+ where required by law) and hold current TABC certification and Food Handler’s certification.
• Strong communication, organization, and guest-service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes; restock bar inventory and operate POS to process orders.
• Greet guests, make recommendations, verify IDs, monitor alcohol service and intervene when necessary.
• Assist in training new bartenders and barbacks; communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Report inventory issues, equipment problems, and nightly sales or incidents to the F&B Manager.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service policies; attend required meetings.

We are looking for team members who are ready to be empowered to go above and beyond…Status: Non-ExemptReports to: F&B ManagerJOB SUMMARYThe Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and responsible manner, while maintaining a clean and organized bar area and delivering an exceptional guest experience consistent with Lone Star Court’s hospitality standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONSOperational ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes; maintain accurate par levels and restock bar inventory; operate the POS system to enter orders and process payments accurately; maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, garnishes, and equipment; set up and break down the bar area for each shift.Guest ServicesGreet guests warmly and promptly; make beverage recommendations; check identification to verify legal drinking age; monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene professionally when necessary; resolve guest concerns or escalate to a manager as needed.Team Support and TrainingCommunicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely, accurate service; assist in training new bartenders and barbacks on drink recipes and bar procedures.Communication and ReportingReport low inventory, equipment issues, or maintenance needs to the F&B Manager; communicate nightly sales and any incidents at the end of each shift.Safety & ComplianceMaintain current TABC certification; maintain current food handlers certification; follow all responsible alcohol service laws and hotel policies; adhere to health and sanitation standards for food and beverage handling.
