Job summary

Holiday Inn KCI Airport/Atwell Suites KCI is seeking an adaptable team member with bartending and food service experience for evening shifts. This is a part-time role with 12 hours per week on average.

Schedule includes Sunday and Monday, 5pm-11pm, with flexible weekday/weekend evening availability as a bonus. Pay is $17.00/hour plus tips, and benefits include employee discounts.

Qualifications

• 1 year of bartending/food service experience preferred.
• Some customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take/make orders, ensuring friendly interaction.
• Prepare beverages using established recipes and pouring standards.
• Process cash/credit card transactions accurately per procedures.
• Check guest IDs in line with federal law.
• Set up the bar with liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, and glassware.
• Ensure liquor is secured during shifts.

Overview:

We are looking for an adaptable candidate with previous bartending/food service experience and great customer service skills to join our team here at Atwell Suites KCI!

Schedule (may vary):

• Sunday & Monday, 5pm-11pm
• Part-Time, 12 hours per week on average
• Flexible weekday/weekend evening availability to provide additional shift coverage as needed/desired is a bonus
• Holidays, as needed

Primary Bartending Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use great customer service skills by greeting guests pleasantly as they approach the bar, taking and preparing their orders promptly, and creating an overall friendly interaction.
• Prepare beverages as requested using established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs.
• Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
• Check guest identification in accordance with federal law.
• Follow established Hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times; immediately report any safety/service incident to the supervisor or manager on duty.
• Set up the bar accurately and efficiently with all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
• Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and after every shift.

Primary Kitchen Duties and Responsibilities:

• Heat & prepare small plate menu items with various utensils or grillers; check food while cooking to stir or turn.
• Follow proper procedures in handling food to ensure health and sanitation guidelines are met.
• Clean work area, freezers, kitchen area, and dish area to ensure proper cleanliness is maintained; keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in a similar bartending/food service role is preferred.
• Some experience in a customer service role is preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older!

Pay:

$17.00/hour, plus tips
