Job summary

The Sonnenalp Club's Harvest Restaurant is hiring Full-Time Seasonal or Year-Round Bartenders for the 2026-2027 winter season. Provide friendly, attentive service, craft cocktails, and engage with guests to create memorable experiences in a luxury hotel setting.

You will work with the Food & Beverage team, take orders, maintain bar standards, train with policies, and support servers while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of bartending experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• TIPS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Take guest drink orders and assist servers with beverage orders
• Prepare and serve cocktails and other drinks per standard recipes
• Provide friendly, attentive service and recognize regulars
• Maintain bar inventory and assist with restocking
• Present menus, offer recommendations, and answer questions
• Ensure bar equipment and area are clean and safe
• Work as host, waiter, and busser when needed
• Ensure guest satisfaction and address issues with manager on duty
• Prepare drinks for the restaurant and interact with guests

Craft unforgettable guest experiences this winter at the Harvest Restaurant at The Sonnenalp Club. We're looking for talented Full-Time Seasonal or Full-Time Year-Round Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team for the 2026-2027 winter season. From expertly prepared classic cocktails to personalized guest interactions, you'll play an important role in creating the warm and welcoming atmosphere our guests have come to expect.

Application Deadline: Hiring will occur on a rolling basis. Applications will be accepted until November 1st or until the positions are filled.

Winter Seasonal Dates: 11/04/2026 - 4/11/2027 - Can change based on business levels.

The Bartender is to provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests. Each bartender’s primary objective is to prepare drinks for patrons at the bar while also making drinks for servers throughout the restaurant. The Bartender is often required to act as host, waiter, and busser while carrying out the specific duties of Bartender.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Take orders from guests and beverage orders from servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
• Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks for bar patrons.
• Present menus, make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages or food items
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar supervisor.
• Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
• Prepare drinks for the entire restaurant
• Act as a responsible, personable representative of the Sonnenalp team

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum two years of bartending experience required
• Friendly, warm and enthusiastic personality
• Luxury hotel experience preferred

Special Skills/Equipment

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• TIPS certified preferred
• Drink knowledge required
• Personable disposition which is maintained in pressure situations required
• Strong organizational skills required
• Knowledge of POS system preferred
• Able to work a variety of shifts, often late into the evening.
• Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
• Be able to work in a fast paced restaurant environment

Essential Physical Requirements

• Must maintain a clean and neat appearance
• Position primarily performed indoors assisting a variety of guests
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Standing for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours at a time
