Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing, mixing, and serving cocktails, beer, wine, and non‑alcoholic beverages in accordance with Kaluz’s standards. This role combines technical knowledge of mixology with refined hospitality to create an exceptional bar experience. Bartenders ensure consistency in recipes, maintain a clean and organized bar, and contribute to an upscale and welcoming environment for guests.

Job Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation & Service

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non‑alcoholic beverages according to Kaluz’s recipes and standards.
  • Provide personalized recommendations and upsell premium selections to enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensure all beverages meet presentation, portioning, and quality standards.
  • Serve food items to guests seated at the bar when required.

Bar Operations

  • Set up, stock, and maintain the bar before, during, and after shifts.
  • Monitor inventory of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and garnishes.
  • Follow proper pouring, measuring, and waste control practices to minimize costs.
  • Maintain bar cleanliness and comply with all sanitation and safety regulations.

Guest Experience & Hospitality

  • Greet and engage with bar guests in a warm, professional manner.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests.
  • Provide responsible alcohol service in compliance with all laws and company policies.
  • Build rapport with guests to encourage repeat visits and loyalty.

Teamwork & Support

  • Communicate effectively with servers, runners, and BOH staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with restocking and preparation tasks during peak periods.
  • Support the FOH team by helping in other areas as needed.
  • Uphold Kaluz’s brand standards of refinement, hospitality, and professionalism.
