Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking a bartender/barback to deliver exceptional beverage service in a dynamic hotel setting. You will greet guests, take orders, mix cocktails, and ensure clean, well-stocked bar operations while complying with liquor laws and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of bartending experience, valid Food Handling and TIPS certifications, and strong math and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• 2+ years bartender or barback experience.
• Food Handling Certificate.
• TIPS certification.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Strong math, organization and multitasking skills.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.+ and stand 8–10 hours.
• Experience with POS and basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, and serve drinks with upselling.
• Prepare beverages per recipes, including cocktails, coffee drinks, and wine service.
• Maintain bar setup, cleanliness, restocking, and closing duties.
• Manage inventory, track usage, place orders, and monitor waste.
• Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health regulations, and safety standards.
• Operate POS system, handle payments, and perform cash handling.
• Provide guest information about menu items and hotel services.
• Handle guest complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with private events and other service areas as needed.

Expected Hours of Work

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Hourly compensation range is $20.33 - $21.58. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and specific/overall experience.
