Job summary

John Knox Village is seeking a bartender/server to deliver quality dining experiences across multiple outlets on our 400-acre campus in Lee's Summit, MO. You will prepare beverages, take orders, serve food, and maintain cleanliness while ensuring compliance with age-verification rules.

We offer full-time roles with PTO, plus opportunities to work in a dynamic, hospitality-driven environment. Training is provided to support policy adherence and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler Permit within 15 days of start date.
• Bartender experience preferred.
• Ability to mix, garnish, and serve drinks.
• Cost-control awareness in the department.
• Able to work irregular hours.
• Able to speak in simple sentences.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract, multiply/divide by 10s/100s).
• Ability to taste and/or smell.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common sense.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests in bar and dining areas.
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Set up and clean dining areas; relay orders to kitchen.
• Assist with food preparation and stock bar inventory.
• Ensure proper age verification for alcohol.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
