Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Bartender to be a key part of our Front of House team. You’ll bring energy, connection, and care to every guest interaction while crafting memorable moments behind the bar.

You will craft beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails to our standards and guide guests through menu pairings, ensuring a warm, guest-focused experience. Flexible schedules and growth opportunities accompany a comprehensive training program.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to stand 8 hours or more a day and stay on your feet.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset with patience and positive approach.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• FOH positions require 18+ age.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming experience from the moment guests arrive at the bar.
• Craft beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails to Firebirds standards with consistency.
• Guide guests through menu offerings with confident recommendations and pairings.
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver attentive, personalized hospitality.
• Accurately manage orders, POS entry, and payments with efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and Firebar area.
• Support To-Go orders and collaborate with teammates for seamless service.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service and guest safety standards.
