Job summary

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is seeking a part-time Bartender for evenings, weekends, and events in Grand Rapids, MI. You will mix and serve beverages, deliver outstanding guest service, and work within a fast-paced, hospitable team environment at a premier cultural destination.

Responsibilities include following recipes and pour controls, handling POS transactions, and maintaining a clean bar area while ensuring responsible service for concerts, weddings, and private events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bartending, restaurant, catering, banquet, or hospitality experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain TIPS Certification.
• Weekend availability and flexible evenings for events.

• Follow standardized recipes and pour controls for quality.

What You’ll Do

Required

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of bartending, restaurant, catering, banquet, or hospitality experience
• At least 17 years of age
• Ability to obtain TIPS Certification
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules
• Reliable transportation
• Weekend availability – must be able to work at least 2 days within Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Preferred

• 2+ years of bartending experience
• Experience in high-volume hospitality or event environments
• Knowledge of POS systems
• Strong mixology and beverage service knowledge
