Embassy Suites Asheville Downtown is seeking a friendly Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The role offers $13.50/hour plus a tip pool, with opportunities to craft quality cocktails and provide exceptional guest service at a busy hotel bar.

You will greet guests, prepare beverages, ensure ID verification, maintain a clean bar, and collaborate with staff to deliver memorable experiences. At least 1 year of bartending experience and strong POS skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience.
• Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in drink preparation and cash handling.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
• Bartending certification and TIPS training are a plus.
• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, and recommend menu items.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, following recipes.
• Verify guest IDs and comply with state alcohol regulations.
• Keep bar and dining area clean and organized.
• Monitor inventory and alert management when stock is low.
• Handle cash and card transactions per hotel procedures.
• Coordinate with barbacks and staff for smooth operations.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards, including handling cleaners.
