Job summary

Lone Star Court, located in The Domain area of Austin, TX, seeks a dedicated bartender to craft beverage mixers and serve guests with professional, efficient service. You will upsell drinks and food while maintaining knowledge of liquor varieties, recipes, and pricing, and ensure accurate cash handling and safety guidelines are followed.

The ideal candidate will bring hospitality experience, strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and composure under pressure, in a fast-paced hotel bar

Qualifications

• Hotel Operations or Customer Service experience preferred
• Communicates effectively with others
• Works productively with a team
• Effective multitasking skills
• Composure and patience under pressure
• Skilled in working with multiple computer programs

Responsibilities

• Prepares all beverage mixers to recipe beverages to guests
• Promotes and up-sells liquor and food
• Must be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, recipes and prices of drinks, proper glassware and garnishes
• Follows guidelines established in regards to age identification for suspected minors and when dealing with an intoxicated customer
• Must be familiar with cash handling procedures to include proper discounting, Micros system, bank procedures and tip policies
• Attend required meetings
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
• Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
• Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions
• Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
