Job summary

Schweitzer is seeking a seasonal bartender to craft cocktails and provide excellent service to guests. You will work with house recipes, serve bar patrons, and support food service for servers' guests. Must be 21+ with strong craft-bar experience.

Open the bar, manage stock, mix drinks, and monitor for responsible service while delivering memorable guest experiences in a mountain resort setting.

Qualifications

• Two years mixed drink bartending experience with demonstrated competence.
• Beer knowledge required; wine knowledge preferred.
• Clear communication and basic math for cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Open bar, count till, open lock ups and prep work.
• Inventory/stock product, change/move kegs, mix drinks, create specials.
• Ensure minimal waste by accurate pour; provide high guest service.
• ID guests per Idaho liquor laws and monitor intoxication.
• Close bar and complete end of shift reports and deposits.
• Maintain a presentable bar/restaurant and multitask as needed.
• Be punctual and capable of handling multiple tasks.

Position Summary

Create consistent craft cocktails using house recipes for patrons and provide excellent service. Bartenders will provide food and drink service for bar patrons as well as make drinks for server's patrons. Must be 21 years or older to apply. Previous craft bar experience is mandatory.

Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities

• Open bar, count till, open lock ups and thoroughly perform setup and prep work.
• Responsible to inventory/stock product, change/move kegs/aligas, mix drinks, create cocktail specials, and provide a high level of guest service and entertainment.
• Responsible for ensuring minimal waste by correct pour of all drinks.
• ID guests in accordance with Idaho State liquor and identification laws, monitor guest intoxication and take action/get help, if necessary.
• Close bar, thoroughly perform closing/cleaning duties, prepare end of shift reports and turns in accurate deposits to central vault/auditor, lock up product and area.
• Must pay attention to detail and help keep bar/restaurant presentable.
• Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be punctual.

Specific Job Skills

License/Certifications - Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate and Food Handlers Certification (we will help you obtain).
Technical - Utilize POS System (Squirrel)
Physical Capabilities - Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Required to lift over 25lbs frequently and over 50lbs occasionally.

Education/Related Experience

Additional - Strong communication skills.
Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication; basic math
