Job summary

Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino seeks an experienced bartender to craft drinks and deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, casino environment. You will prepare drinks per recipes, handle cash, and ensure a safe, clean work area while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a mixology certificate, and at least two years of high-volume bartending; TIPS and sanitation certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all drinks in accordance with recipes.

• Interact with guests professionally and cordially.
• Adhere to Gaming Commission regulations and Seminole policies.
• Support responsible gaming and alcohol service by notifying management.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepares all drinks in accordance with established recipes.
• Serves guests and servers according to established policy.
• Responsible for checks issued to him/her and acts as a cashier in front and service bars, except on casino floor.
• Responsible for the receipt of monies and settlement of guest checks in accordance with all appropriate policies.
• Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Ensure a positive guest experience
• Interact and service guests in a cordial and gracious manner while being able to present a professional experience
• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required as well as certificate in Mixology.
• Minimum of two (2) years in high volume bartending. T.I.P.S. certification and Sanitation certification is preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills specific to job responsibilities are required, to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.

Work Environment

• May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy.
