Job summary

Bold Rock in Mills River, NC is seeking a Bartender to serve guests and represent the brand in our taproom. You will prepare and pour a range of liquor, beer, cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks, while delivering outstanding hospitality and product education.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Passion for hospitality and craft beverages.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to discuss our products with guests.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience with craft cocktails is desired.
• Ability to operate the point-of-sale system (POS).
• At least one year of related experience.
• Prolonged standing and walking; must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests timely as they are seated at the bar; ensure bar is clean and that coasters, utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
• Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered from guests and waitstaff.
• Accurately and efficiently enter food and beverage orders into the POS system.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation and delivery.
• Completion of all required bar prep, including cutting fruit/garnish, syrups, batching cocktails, etc.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and ensure it is stocked with clean glassware.
• Follow all Alcohol Service laws and safe service practices, including checking photo IDs.
• Process guest payments by preparing checks and handling transactions through the POS system.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests, teammates, and management.
• Change, move, and organize kegs as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and setting up the bar.
• Assist with other side work duties such as cleaning the dining area, preparing silverware and refilling condiments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
