Job summary

Stanly Ranch in Napa is seeking a passionate bartender to craft exceptional beverages and contribute to a vibrant guest experience. You will assist in beverage preparation, service at the bar and restaurant, and ensure accurate order timing.

You will use drink knowledge to recommend options, maintain bar stock, operate the Micros system, and uphold food safety standards. A positive appearance and flexible schedule are valued, with compensation starting at $18.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Card required within 30 days of hire.
• RBS - Alcohol Training Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• One year experience in foodservice/hospitality as a bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine; luxury property experience preferred.
• Superior professional appearance and manner; teamwork in fast-paced environments.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as department needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests in beverage and drink preparation for the bar and restaurant in a timely manner.
• Engage with guests about beverage preferences to ensure high-quality service.
• Be knowledgeable about drinks on the menu and standard drinks to guide guest choices.
• Know drinks, cocktails, spirits, specials and prices to aid selections.
• Accurately take and input orders into Micros with correct timing and billing.
• Prepare guest checks and process payments as required.
• Operate, maintain and clean bar equipment and fittings.
• Keep the bar well-stocked at all times.
• Follow safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

• Assisting guests in beverage and drink preparation, servicing of the bar area and the restaurant in an efficient and timely manner
• Relate with guests about needs, satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service
• Be knowledgeable about the drink offerings mentioned in the menu as well as all standard drinks to assist guest in choosing their beverage based on likes/dislikes
• be knowledgeable about drinks, cocktails, spirits and other menu items, specials and prices
• Accurately and quickly, take and place orders and input them into the Micros system ensuring correct timing and billing
• Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required
• Operate, maintain and properly clean all bar equipment and fittings
• Ensure that the bar is well-stocked at all times
• Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper food-handling skills and food safety guidelines.

The starting range for this position is $18.40 an hour. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
