Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred—hotel/bar/rooftop backgrounds are a strong plus.
• Ability to deliver high‑energy service with accuracy and hospitality.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology basics, and responsible alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality bar service, build guest connections, and maintain a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
• Keep a clean, organized bar station and perform daily side work per standards.
• Knowledge of the full cocktail menu, beer and wine selections, and garnishes.
• Process payments (cash, card, digital) and complete end‑of‑shift reconciliation.
• Promote teamwork and ensure compliance with Texas liquor laws and brand standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality bar service to all guests at Bar Moxy inside Moxy Austin — University — building personal connections through friendly conversation, intuitive drink recommendations, and a welcoming, high‑energy atmosphere
• Maintain a clean, organized bar station and complete daily bar cleaning and side work to the health, safety, and brand standards of this upscale Austin lifestyle hotel bar
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of the full Bar Moxy cocktail menu, beer and wine selections, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes — confidently and enthusiastically answering guest questions
• Ensure consistent food and beverage quality and presentation that meets guest expectations on every order — from the first craft cocktail to the final check
• Accurately process all payment methods — cash, card, and digital — and complete end‑of‑shift reconciliation
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a safe, positive, and high‑energy work environment at Bar Moxy
• Card all guests and monitor responsible alcohol service to prevent overservice and ensure full compliance with Texas liquor laws and Moxy brand standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Previous bartending experience preferred — hotel bar, rooftop bar, craft cocktail, or high-volume restaurant bar backgrounds a strong plus for this role at Bar Moxy in Austin, TX; willing to train the right candidate with the right personality and hospitality instincts
• An outgoing, magnetic, social personality with a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a high‑energy Austin lifestyle hotel bar environment
• Sharp attention to detail — from perfectly crafted cocktails and precise presentation to reading the room and anticipating guest needs at the bar
• Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and responsible alcohol service practices — TABC certification a plus for this Austin, Texas bartender role
• A positive, can‑do attitude and collaborative team‑player mindset — you thrive in the social, fast‑paced energy that defines Bar Moxy and the Moxy brand
• Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for extended periods; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a high‑volume Austin hotel bar environment
