Job summary

Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge in Georgia is seeking a bartender to mix cocktails, pour beverages, and provide attentive service in a busy bar environment.

Under the supervision of the F&B Manager, you will handle cash, restock supplies, maintain a clean bar area, and coordinate with kitchen staff to deliver a superior guest experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid vacation, free meals, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and cash handling skills.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serves wine and beer (draught or bottled).
• Collects money for drinks served and handles cash accurately.
• Requisitions liquors and supplies for bar operations.
• Arranges bottles and glasses to create attractive displays.
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishes and decor.
• Informs guests of food, beverage, and bar promotions.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area; adheres to safety standards.
• Works closely with the kitchen in serving food and coordinating service.
• Breaks down the bar, secures liquor, and stores fruit and juices properly.
• Recognizes signs of over-indulgence and follows responsible service guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by managers/supervisors and complies with state laws.

Qualifications:

Under the direct supervision of the F&B Manager/Supervisor, this position mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar for Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should perform the following essential functions of the position:

• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Serves wine and draught or bottled beer
• Collects money for drinks served
• Requisitions liquors and supplies
• Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
• Informs guests of all food, beverage and bar promotions
• Adheres to accounting practices and standards
• Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of bar area
• Works closely with the kitchen in the serving of food
• Breaks down bar, locks up liquor and stores fruit and juices properly
• Accepts responsibility for recognizing over-indulgence of alcoholic beverages by customers
• Other duties as assigned by managers/supervisors
• Complies with laws of the State of Georgia
