Job summary

Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge is seeking an experienced bartender to mix cocktails, serve wine and beer, and manage bar operations. You will handle payments, requisition supplies, and maintain a clean, compliant bar area in a premier North Georgia destination.

Qualifications

• Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serves wine and beer (draught or bottled).
• Collects money for drinks served.
• Requisitions liquors and supplies.
• Arranges bottles and glasses for attractive displays.
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishes.
• Informs guests of food, beverage and bar promotions.
• Adheres to accounting practices and standards.
• Responsible for bar area cleanliness and sanitation.
• Works closely with kitchen during service.
• Breaks down bar and stores items properly.
• Recognizes over-indulgence and acts accordingly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by managers/supervisors.
• Complies with Georgia state laws.

Qualifications:

Under the direct supervision of the F&B Manager/Supervisor, this position mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar for Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should perform the following essential functions of the position:

• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Serves wine and draught or bottled beer
• Collects money for drinks served
• Requisitions liquors and supplies
• Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
• Informs guests of all food, beverage and bar promotions
• Adheres to accounting practices and standards
• Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of bar area
• Works closely with the kitchen in the serving of food
• Breaks down bar, locks up liquor and stores fruit and juices properly
• Accepts responsibility for recognizing over-indulgence of alcoholic beverages by customers
• Other duties as assigned by managers/supervisors
• Complies with laws of the State of Georgia
