Job summary

Main & Vine in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver an outstanding guest experience, craft signature cocktails, and offer recommendations on local craft beers and wines. You will prepare drinks for bar and dining room guests, engage with customers, handle orders and payments, maintain pour-cost control, restock inventory, and keep the bar clean while complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience bartending in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails and modern signatures.
• Ability to upsell and recommend drinks to guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serving.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and provide excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Superior knowledge of classic cocktails.
• Exemplify outstanding communication skills, create unique experiences for guests.
• Strong and efficient work ethic, including keeping a clean and tidy work area, guest areas clean, polishing glassware, plate-ware, silverware.
• Complete opening/closing duties, including prep/checklist.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and process payments accurately.
• Knowledge of pour-cost control and inventory management.
• Perform all other duties as specified by supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

Starting Rate - $9 per hour + gratuities
