Job summary

Cinépolis USA is seeking a bar/food service team member to provide exceptional hospitality in our theater venues. You will rapidly and accurately take orders, upsell, and deliver high-quality drinks while ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.

Previous bartending experience and ServSafe/alcohol training are required. This on-site role involves flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences in a premium cinema setting.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • 1+ years of bartending experience with a full bar.
  • ServSafe and Alcohol training certifications are required.
  • Ability to work with Vista Point of Sale System and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests at all bar areas with a smile and warm hospitality.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and upsell where possible.
  • Know bar and menu items to make recommendations and answer questions.
  • Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
  • Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Maintain bar cleanliness and set up/close procedures; stock and inventory.

As part of Cinépolis International, the most popular movie theater exhibitor globally, we are dedicated to innovation, film, and hospitality worldwide.AS A CINÉPOLIS TEAM MEMBER, YOU ARE WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO US!Our team members enjoy a generous employee discount on tickets, food, and nonalcoholic beverages, and they also receive gifts for reaching milestone work anniversaries!BASE PAY$15.50 - $19.50JOB DESCRIPTIONDEPARTMENT: OperationsLOCATION: TheaterREPORTS TO: General ManagerJOB DUTIESGreet guests who approach all bar areas immediately with a smile and warm hospitality, embodying Nice and Amazing Service.Demonstrate Passion and Commitment by rapidly and accurately taking food and beverage orders and using selling maximizations for every guest.Create a unique and amazing experience for guests by possessing full knowledge of bar and menu items and being able to make recommendations.Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements, 21 or order, for consumption of alcoholic beverages.Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for server orders, and patrons of the bar, lobby, and lounge following standard recipes.Clean as you go including glasses, utensils, bar equipment, and bussing tables.Implement alcohol service and safety training, including but not limited to the following: ensuring that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only, not over-serving an intoxicated guest, and do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary.Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar.Keep Bar Supervisor up to date on inventory levels.Wash and sanitize all stemware.Process all payments correctly and promptly to ensure they have a smooth transition into the theater.Navigate guest complaints and assist with requests or direct them to proper resources if unable to assist.Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures- including but not limited to side work.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEMust be 18 years or older.1+ years of bartending experience with a full bar.ServSafe and Alcohol training certifications are required.Ability to work with Vista Point of Sale System and perform basic math.Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with employees, guests, and management.Organized and able to prioritize in a fast paced and constantly changing environment while maintaining a smile and positive attitude.Great communication skills with the ability to handle difficult and stressful situations and issues positively.Flexible working hours including nights, holidays, and weekends.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
