Job summary

Access Management Group in Florida seeks an experienced bartender to serve guests at the bar and restaurant, take beverage orders, and ensure proper ID checks for alcohol service.

You will maintain stock, operate Micros POS, and follow safety and health guidelines while delivering friendly, efficient service.

A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required; familiarity with wines, beers, and liquor, plus ServSafe or TIPS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience as a Bartender.
• Desire to grow within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy and teamwork.
• Ability to compute and manipulate mathematical calculations.
• Ability to deal with customers with patience and diplomacy.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of fine wines, beer and liquor.
• Alcohol awareness certification (TIPS) is preferred.
• Knowledge of Micros POS system.
• Food Handlers Certification, ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Must communicate professionally in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock, supplies, and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.
• Have working knowledge of Micros system for ordering, check presentation, payment processing and reporting tips.
• Maintain knowledge of liquor regulations, especially no service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• Know liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, glassware, garnishes and menu items.
• Know table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, table setup and dress code.
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies; keep bank secure.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment following Safety and Health guidelines.

Job Overview:

Bartenders are responsible for serving guests in the bar by taking & serving food & beverage orders while ensuring to check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, prepare drink orders for the bar, and restaurant
• Maintain stock, supplies, and cleanliness of outlet and equipment
• Have thorough working knowledge of Micros system -- ordering, check presentation, payment processing, closing reports while reporting all tips
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving
• Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, glassware and garnishes in the restaurant and all menu items (including daily specials), prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation
• Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times
• Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment at all times, following all Safety and Health Department guidelines

• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once
• Knowledge of fine wines, beer, and liquor
• Alcohol awareness certification (TIPS Training) is preferred
• Knowledge of P.O.S. system, preferably Micros
• Food Handlers Certification, ServSafe Certified is preferred
• Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in other languages helpful
