Job summary

SERVPRO of Saginaw / Bay City is seeking a bartender to take food and beverage orders, enter orders in proper sequence, and serve guests at the bar and tables as needed. You will coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely service and high quality, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Applicants must meet state minimum age for serving alcohol, have at least 6 months of bartending/serving experience, pass required food safety certification, and be available days, evenings,

• Ability to read, write and speak English (multi-lingual a plus)
• Ability to interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 20 lbs
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, checks back after delivery of food and beverage to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintains bar and table appearance by pre-bussing, checks drink levels, removes clutter and provides adequate napkins
• Presents check for payment, processes payments, and provides change, as needed
• Stocks and organizes bar, as required
• Ensures friendly welcoming service at all times
• Process payments via POS register system
• Follows customer service, adult beverage, and cash handling policies and procedures
• Keeps assigned station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately
• Any and all duties assigned by management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
• Must have at least 6 months of closely related bartending/serving experience
• Work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
• Must be able to pass required state food safety certification requirements
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (i.e. drug test, background check, etc)
• Must have full availability and be able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to read, write and speak English (multi-lingual a plus)
